If you have been following the Strong Towns blog – or perhaps you attended our Strong Towns Curbside Chat in April – you will find the new Strong Towns book, Thoughts on Building Strong Towns, Volume 1, very helpful.
Charles Marohn of Strong Towns has put together a collection of his posts and essays in one place, making it much easier to get an overview of the Strong Towns philosophy. Available at Amazon in paperback ($9.95) or for your Kindle ($4.95). I read it on my iPad.
If you are new to Strong Towns, I highly recommend purchasing this book as a way to introduce yourself to Marohn’s common sense, fiscally responsible ideas on development, urban planning, and transportation. It will open your eyes and mind to the issues created by our post WWII development “experiment” and where we need to go in the future.
