1000 Lights Lantern Festival at Chollas Park, San Diego.

People coming together for a fun day filled with music, scenery, food, Bingo, and of course, the beautiful lights everyone decorated to then put in the water and watch as they simply are. The mission of this festival is to connect people to their hopes, dreams, and loved ones, whether present or past. It was truly a beautiful experience. *Also, after the event, all lanterns would be cleaned up and retrieved by nets to eliminate any waste and not harm the lake nor the animals that inhabit it. The floats were made of bamboo and paper made of rice. The lanterns have no ability to sink therefore cleanup is easier.
